Section 80G: A Guide to Charitable Donations
Section 80g allows taxpayers to help those in need and cut their taxes at the same time. Thanks to this provision, people and organizations are allowed to deduct their charitable donations which encourages more charitable giving. If you contribute to an eligible charity, you might be able to lower your taxes by 50% or a full 100%, again depending on the organization’s status. Make sure to obtain the required documents and check if the charity follows section 80g rules in order to gain benefits in both social causes and taxes.
